Freeway to the End of the World

Nico

Champagne morning, for the priest and the thief,
Tainted little girls smile while I'm praying,
I'm trying, but I'm losing,
Where can I go? I need something to amuse me.
Something other than this noise.
The confusion, white light in your eyes,
While tattooed Joey sings songs in the parlor,
You handed out things you didn't want us to see.

Marion and Tony, and their two legged dog,
She misses nothing, but affection,
and the sound of your voice in the morning.
The roses I gave you, are now fully bloomed,
Stoned, drunk, lonely, doomed.
I had a dream about you,
locking me in the cupboard,
with dancing crazy sally, as she stoned me with a broom.

What did you say the other afternoon,
"I'm short, but fuck it, we're here together
with lance and his wife,
the baker and his girl,
And we're all going drinking to the end of the world!"
